F:Common Test for University Admissions jointly with an independent entrance exam

The following is the content of the entrance examination last year. Please confirm the application guidelines for the details of the 2022 entrance examination.

*The entrance exam will be given in Japanese.

2.Eligibility, exam subjects and exam timetable

Eligibility

  1. Those who have graduated from high school or secondary school, or those expecting to graduate from such schools in March 2021
  2. Those who have completed Year 12 school education with a normal curriculum, or those who are expecting to complete such education in AY 2020
  3. Those who are acknowledged by ordinances of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology and other relevant organizations that
    they have academic skills equivalent to or above those in (1) and (2), above.
  4. Those who took exam in subjects specified by the University at the AY 2021 Common Test for University Admissions

Selection method

  1. First exam
    ・Applicants are screened based on the results of the independent exam and Common Test for University Admissions.
    * The raw scores of Japanese and English exams are converted into deviation scores.
    ・The scores of Common Test for University Admissions are translated into the scores designated by the University.
    ・The results of English exam (on a 100-point scale for reading and listening each) are converted on a 160-point scale for reading and on a 40-point scale for listening; the acquired score out of a total of 200 points is translated into the score designated by the University.
    * The raw scores of individual elective subjects are converted into deviation scores.
  2. Second exam
    ・An interview is held based on application documents (school report and application form). Successful applicants will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation based on the results of the first exam, short essay, and the interview.

Remarks

  • You must take Japanese and English exams both in the independent exam and in Common Test for University Admissions. If you take an exam either in the independent exam or Common Test for University Admissions, but not both, you will not be considered for selection.
  • If two subjects are selected from geography, history, and civics, the marks for the first choice will be used for assessment. If two subjects are selected from non-foundation subjects in science, the marks for the first choice will be used for assessment.
  • For "foundation" science subjects, select two from among three subjects.

Supplementary exam

■If you take a special supplementary exam for Common Test for University Admissions: Detailed information on the entrance exam based on the special supplementary exam will be announced as soon as a decision is made. If you sit for a special supplementary exam for Common Test for University Admissions, you must submit an application to that effect (including a copy of the application for a special supplementary exam for Common Test for University Admissions submitted to the National Center for University Entrance Examinations) to the Faculty of Health Care and Nursing; otherwise you will be regarded as absent.

■If you take a supplementary exam for the first exam (independent exam) and second exam: For the first exam (independent exam) and second exam of the Common Test for University Admissions jointly with an independent entrance exam, a supplementary exam will be conducted. Detailed information on eligibility and how to apply will be announced later. Please note that the content of the first exam (independent exam) may differ from that of the originally scheduled exam.

3.Enrollment procedures

Successful applicants are required to complete the University's enrollment procedures during the period from Feb. 26 (Fri.) to Mar. 5 (Fri.), 2021.
Successful applicants will receive a notice of successful application and enrollment procedure guidelines.
