All the following requirements must be met:
■ At the time of application, applicants must present a certificate for any of the foreign language proficiency tests.
※Tests must have been taken within two years of the starting date of the application period. They must be within the validity expiration date of individual certificates. In the AY 2021 entrance exam, the results of TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition and IELTS Indicator will also be accepted.
Cambridge English Qualifications: 120, Eiken: 1700*1, GTEC CBT: 690, IELTS: 4.0, TEAP: 135, TEAP CBT: 235, TOEFL-iBT: 42*2, TOEIC (L&R and S&W): 625*3, Chinese Proficiency test: level 3, HSK Chinese Proficiency test: level 4
※1: For Eiken, the CSE score will be used.
※2: For TOEFL iBT, Test Data only. MyBest scores will not be accepted.
※3: Certificates for both TOEIC Listening & Reading Test and TOEIC Speaking & Writing Tests are necessary. A TOEIC score is calculated with the score of Listening & Reading Test and 2.5 times of Speaking & Writing Tests score.
Applicants are screened by comprehensively evaluating the results of short essay and general questions as well as an interview, which is conducted based on submitted application documents (application form, academic transcript issued by a foreign school, certificate for a foreign language proficiency test, etc.).

Remarks
Evaluations of student reports, short essays and interviews will comprehensively be assessed in applicant selection.
If an applicant has a supporting document that can be provided at an interview, they are requested to bring it with them on the day of the exam.
The content of the entrance exam will be the same as that for the recommendation-based entrance exam.
○Short essay and general questions
A test of short essay and related general questions conducted for applicants who apply for the recommendation-based entrance exam or the returnee entrance exam is designed to evaluate their basic academic skills and intellectual abilities necessary to study in the Faculty of Health Care and Nursing, according to "the key subjects that must have been studied before learning nursing science in the University" stated in the Faculty's admission policy. The "basic academic skills and intellectual abilities" refer to the basic ability to understand and think in the subjects of Japanese, English, mathematics, basic biology, and basic chemistry which are studied by the end of the second year of high school (which is the exam coverage of the subjects for the general entrance exam).
○Supporting documents for interviews
Please bring with you evidence of your achievements (not limited to your high school life) and what you are proud of. There is no limit on the number of documents you can bring in; therefore, if you are not certain, please bring them anyway.
- Exam result certificates such as those for Eiken, Kanken, and Suuken test
- Academic transcripts such as TOEIC, TOEFL-iBT, GTEC, and IELTS
- Certificate of attendance at a first aid course
- An award, trophy, or shield from a sports event or competition either inside or outside school (applicants do not have to bring trophies with them to interviews if they have an award certificate)
- Documents and photos as evidence of volunteer activities
- School reports as evidence such as of having no absences since primary school
- Overseas national exam certificates (such as for SATs or GCSEs)
- Overseas university entrance qualifications (such as International Baccalaureate, Abitur or Baccalaureate)
Successful applicants are required to complete the University's enrollment procedures during the period from Dec. 2 (Wed.) to Dec. 9 (Wed.), 2020.
Successful applicants will receive a notice of successful application and enrollment procedure guidelines.
